The Keltys work alongside Africans to build the church in Africa through Bible teaching, discipleship, and evangelism. They live and serve in a rural town in Kenya. The town is predominantly Muslim, mixed with some traditional animism and even a satanic appeasement cult. Out of the population of 17,000, there are only about 600 Christians.
About the Kelty's
In recent years, the Keltys have been assisting 2 congregations, one in a village and one in a town. Their primary work of Bible teaching and discipleship is carried out in many ways: Informal teaching with individuals and small groups, formal teaching in extension schools for pastors and lay leaders, providing transport of construction materials for church buildings, supervising an English language lending library, pastoral counseling and encouragement of local pastors and lay leaders.
For a deeper relationship with God and with each other. For physical stamina in a challenging environment.
For wisdom to discern between interruptions and "divine appointments." To be able to sift out from countless ministry opportunities, the activities which are Gods will for them.
Pray for non-believers who live in bondage to Satan, that they would hunger for deliverance and respond to Christ.
For believers, especially church leaders, to grow close to Jesus, to gain Bible knowledge, and to apply Biblical principles in daily life, especially in the areas of marriage & parenting. For the Holy Spirit to help them stand strong against temptations and social pressures.
