Encounter is a regional discipleship and healing program designed to help people experience God deeply, find freedom from past wounds, and live with renewed purpose. We’re honored to host this transformative experience and invite you to take part in what God is doing through Encounter across New England.

Ready to be free? EncounterGod Weekend is all about bringing each believer into a renewed relationship with the living God. This three-day weekend is designed to bring the things that separate us from receiving the love and freedom of the Father to Jesus at the Cross, setting us free by the power of the Holy Spirit, and releasing us into a refreshed and renewed identity as sons and daughters of God. In a culture that is no longer asking “Is it true?” but “Does it work?”, an Encounter God Weekend is an opportunity to engage not just the information, but the very power of the gospel!

Want to pray for others the way you were prayed for? EncounterEquip teaches best practices for healing prayer and deliverance ministry. Learn how to effectively and compassionately help others bring their sin, pain and shame to Jesus.

EncounterLife is a 12-week cohort for those who have participated in an EncounterGod Weekend and want to practice living confessionally. Groups consist of four to eight participants, and are led by a seasoned prayer minister/coach. Groups are "closed", meaning that the group members remain the same throughout the duration of the program. Designed to support, encourage, train and challenge, EncounterLife will activate and accelerate what God has already deposited in you!

Encounter Testimony

Sally Welch

Encounter God Weekend was a paradigm shift for me – from the heart of an orphan to the heart of a son. For years I carried unnecessary shame and self-condemnation from past sins which drove striving, people pleasing, perfectionism and fear. But during one of the prayer times, God brought me out of that dark room and into the sunlight of His grace. Now I have a new sense of freedom, a renewed appetite for things of God and a joy unlike anything I’ve ever experienced as a Christian! I am literally overjoyed! I am grateful for Encounter God Weekend and the transforming work God did in my heart as I came ready and I’m leaving changed.

Jon Chastney, Elder at Bethany Church

So perfect that my home church supports the health of our spirits with what we need. The spiritual profile revealed many areas of sin and footholds that I needed to deal with. My heart changed hearing testimonies and coming up for prayer. The humbling testimonies were key. When Pastor Shea opened his heart and shared his testimony the door was opened to hear, see, feel and receive. Thank you, Thank you Pastor Shea. I was humbled and able to fully uncover and confess a magnitude of sin. I am no longer separated but gloriously reunited.

Andrea Papoutsy

It was definitely an encounter weekend. Well thought out lessons of topics that really helped me through explanation and individual testimony. Opened up doors of healing on subjects that were presented in a different way.

I like everything about it. The worshipping, testimonies and prayer partners coming alongside people who needed prayer. Watching how the Holy Spirit spoke and ministered to the people there was amazing. You felt loved on and free to worship and be healed. No judgment, just love.

Sally Coles, Prayer Minister

Very caring team of prayer ministers, well organized event with lots of topics to help me grow closer to God, and testimonies were extremely helpful toward inviting confession and forgiveness. Helped me grow in my walk with God, confessing sin, fear, and walk in newness of life. I haven't been to any other church program as good as this.
