October 2026 Issue 3

Practice Makes Progress
Our new series, A Dream Worth Building, walks through the Old Testament book of Haggai — ten weeks tracing one exhausted, overcommitted community's honest journey from misplaced priority to real hope. This is an invitation to build something that’ll stand for years to come.

Grief Share & Divorce Care

Two of Bethany's flagship support groups - GriefShare and DivorceCare - are underway now, and it's never too late to join.

Shay Lavery and George Bukow are wonderfully compassionate GriefShare facilitators who've each lost spouses and understand the pain of grief. They've also experienced healing and restoration, and bring all of this to bear in a group that offers mutual Christ-centered care and support during a time of bereavement.

Scott McKinney brings a tender and kind approach to guiding individuals in a group setting through the complex challenges of divorce.

Both programs utilize the best of pastoral, clinical, and peer-based insights in a workbook and video-style teaching that stimulates personal and group reflection.

If you're hurting from the loss of a loved one, register for GriefShare here.
If you're going through or recovering from a divorce, register for DivorceCare here.

Students Barnsgiving is coming up at our Greenland Campus! We will be meeting down at the Barn for worship and reflection, then walking to the cafe for our dinner together.

Here is the link for our signup form. Additionally, we are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help with serving, prep, or cleanup. Please see the form for details or let me know if you have questions. We would love to see you there!
Please join us in prayer this week for:
Bruce and Miriam Saldi serving the church in La Paz, Bolivia: The Saldis will be visiting the Seacoast in early November! You will have several opportunities to meet them as they will be introduced at Bethany Greenland’s dinner Wednesday Nov. 11 and will then go to the Barn to share with our students. A few more opportunities are being planned and we will keep you informed so you don’t miss out on hearing what God is doing in Bolivia!

Gelu Paul working in Romania with the Estera Foundation and church leadership: Let’s praise God with Gelu and those at the Estera Foundation for the ways God has come alongside to encourage and provide for them as they minister to new mothers and their children. Gelu reports: “Changes in legislation required us to rebuild numerous documents and procedures from the ground up. Yet, through every challenge, God has faithfully provided, and we are delighted to share that our license has been renewed for another five years!”. Pray for their team as they go into schools to share with teens about the importance of abstinence and about God’s love for every child. Abstinence = Freedom!
